// SIP OPTIONS CHECK

Free SIP OPTIONS check

Is your phone system answering? Send one SIP OPTIONS request, a SIP ping, to any SIP server, whether it is a PBX, an SBC, a SIP proxy or your SIP provider, and see the response code and the round-trip time in a few seconds.

The hostname or public IPv4 address of your PBX, SBC, SIP proxy or SIP provider. No sip:, user or port.
5060 to 5099

What the check does

PingVo sends exactly one SIP OPTIONS request from a test agent in Sweden, waits up to 2 seconds, and shows the status code, its standard meaning and the round-trip time. There is no call, no authentication and no retry. Any SIP response means the server is reachable and processing signalling; a 401 or 407 is the usual answer from a server that expects credentials.

Each address can be checked a few times an hour. In PingVo the same check runs on a Route every minute, from outside your network or from a PingVo agent inside it, with alerts when the SBC stops answering; add real test calls to see whether a line actually connects. See how PingVo monitors SIP trunks.
